Technical System Requirements

The CE Shop courses are delivered through a secure and proprietary Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is accessible online through common internet browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. An internet connection is required (high speed is recommended, but not required).

Enrollment

Enrollments are accepted via our school website at http://www.theceshop.com/ or by phone at 1.888.827.0777. The CE Shop does not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, or disability.

Completion Requirements

Students must spend all required seat time engaged in the course material to receive credit for the course. In those states that require monitored seat time, our online course delivery system manages this requirement for you.

In addition to the above, the below provided states have specific completion requirements:

  • ALASKA real estate licensees are only allowed to complete a total of 10 CE course hours in a 24-hour period.
  • ARIZONA real estate licensees are not allowed to complete more than 9 CE course hours in a 24-hour period and no more than 10 Pre-Licensing course hours in a 24-hour period.
  • CALIFORNIA real estate licensees are limited to completion of final examinations for a maximum of 15 credit hours during any one 24-hour period. A maximum of 8 hours reading/study time per day shall be used in calculating the number of days that must lapse from the time the participant has had access to the course material until the examination can be accessed (e.g., if 8 credit hours have already been started and the final exam completed in a 24-hour period, the final exam for an additional course will not be available until the next 24-hour period). Students must spend the requisite number of hours navigating through the content and completing the incremental assessments prior to being granted access to the final examination (e.g., for a 3-credit course, a minimum of 3 hours must elapse and all unit quizzes must be complete before the final exam can be accessed). A student may enroll in any number of courses with the following guidelines: Schools may not offer a single correspondence course that is to be completed in less than 2½ weeks. This rule applies regardless of the number of schools the student is taking courses from. No more than two courses may be completed in a 5 (five) week period. For example: completion time for 1 course = 2½ weeks, for 2 courses = 5 weeks, 4 courses = 10 weeks, 6 courses = 15 weeks, 8 courses = 20 weeks. PLEASE NOTE: Free trials are not counted/included in the 2 ½ week calculation – this calculation begins only upon paid enrollment for a course/courses.
  • COLORADO, NORTH DAKOTA, and UTAH real estate licensees are only allowed to complete a total of 8 course hours in a 24-hour period.
  • ILLINOIS no more than 6 hours of CE credit may be taken or earned in one calendar day.
  • KENTUCKY pre-licensing real estate licensees are only allowed to complete a total of 9 course hours (classroom, distance or internet) in a 24-hour period.
  • MINNESOTA real estate licensees are only allowed to complete a total of 8 course hours (classroom, distance or internet) in a 24-hour period.
  • TEXAS students must participate in each course for the number of hours of credit awarded and daily course segments of qualifying courses cannot exceed 12 hours. Daily course segments of elective CE courses cannot exceed 10 hours. A 30-hour qualifying course cannot be started and completed in less than 3 days and starting and completing more than one qualifying course within the same 3 days is also not permitted.

Hawaii CE Shop Students

Within the last 20 years, if you have one or more felonies or one or more misdemeanors in your history, outstanding tax obligations with no payment plan in place, and/or any judgments, please contact the Real Estate Branch, 808-586-2643, and determine whether or not you should file the Preliminary Decision Application prior to completing a prelicense course. The Preliminary Decision Application will allow the Hawaii Real Estate Commission to review your history and make a determination of either MOST LIKELY APPROVE or MOST LIKELY DENY your license application when submitted. The decision of the Commission is non-binding, and a license candidate may submit his or her license application no matter what the Commission’s decision is for the Preliminary Decision Application. The Preliminary Decision gives the license candidate a window of probability as to the acceptance or denial of a license application, so that the license candidate does not waste time and money on a prelicense course, if the likelihood of denial is evident.
